You know what I like? Manhattans. Tonight, a stiff one. Let’s not waste time:
1 Part Italian Vermouth (the red stuff)
3-4 Parts Rye Whiskey
1-2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Stir with ice until the whiskey doesn’t burn, then strain ‘er into a chilled martini glass or coupe. I like a citrus twist (tossed out after expressing).
If that don’t settle you down after work, it’s time to start thinking about a new job.
Please do not put an atomic-red maraschino cherry in this drink, though feel free to place a lit match between your orange or lemon peel and your drink while expressing the oils. Yow-zas!
